Yuri Hashimoto  was born in Japan in 1973, currently resides in Ålesund, Norway.
She performs numerous concerts as soloist, chamber musician and orchestra player. She is currently teaching at Sula kulturskole and also in Ålesund.
She founded a flute and percussion duo in 2007 with percussionist Miki Campins.
She studied flute at the Kunitachi College of Music with Toshinori Ishihara and also with Taro Ohtomo. She continued her studies attending Soloist Class at the Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium (Denmark) studying with Toke Lund Christiansen and made her debut recital in Copenhagen (Feb 2004), Swedish National Orchestra Academy at Högskolan för scen och musik vid Göteborg Universitet (Sweden), Soloist Diploma at Högskolan för scen och musik vid Göteborg Universitet with Anders Jonhäll. She had her Debut Recital (26 April 2008) and Debut Concert with Göteborg Symfoniker playing Flute Concerto by Jacques Ibert (27 Aug 2008) in Göteborg, Sweden.
She also attended Master classes in Detmold with Paul Meisen, and in Copenhagen with William Benett.
