Yuri Hashimoto was born in Japan in 1973, currently resides in Ålesund, Norway.
As a freelance flutist, she performes numerous concerts as soloist, chamber musician and orchestra player. As a flute teacher, she works at Sula, Hareid and Sykkylven kommune, also with private students.
She obtained bachelor degree for flute performance at the Kunitachi College of Music (Tokyo), postgraduate Soloist Diploma at Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium (Copenhagen), postgraduate Soloist Diploma at Högskolan för scen och musik vid Göteborg Universitet, also studied at Swedish National Orchestra Academy. She has studied with Toshinori Ishihara, Toke Lund Christiansen and Anders Jonhäll. She had her Debut Recital in Tokyo(1996),in Copenhagen (2004),and in Göteborg (26 April 2008) and Debut Concert with Göteborg Symfoniker conducted by Eva Ollikainen playing Flute Concerto by Jacques Ibert (27 Aug 2008).
She also attended Master classes in Detmold with Paul Meisen, and in Copenhagen with William Benett.
